Shipping and Handling

Our Online Hobby Store will compute correct shipping charges for domestic shipping within Canada. We have several shipping options from Canada Post, Purolator, and Canpar. 
Canada Post, Canpar, and Purolator have tracking numbers and are insured. 
(Although we may be processing orders, we do not ship on Saturday, Sunday, or Holidays).
Please note: we do ship to PO Boxes but in some cases due to size Item will be held by Canada post to be picked up at a Canada Post site. 

Pricing for shipping options will be presented before you finish your checkout. All the items in our store are weighed properly so when you check out, it will compute the correct shipping charges for you and present you with your list of shipping options. If you put some items in your shopping cart and start the checkout process, you can see what the shipping charges will be without actually needing to complete an order.

Orders placed by 1:00 p.m. PST usually ship same day, however during holidays or unexpected spikes in order volume, it may take us a bit longer to get your order out. On average, items will be shipped out within 1-2 Business days. 

Note: We have the right to cancel an order based on logistical issues or anything that can cause harm to the Business with or without actual intent to do so. Refunds will be paid out within 48 hours of the original transaction but can take 5-7 business days to process.

Delivery Services

An estimated delivery date will be sent to you once the Warehouse provides a Tracking Number. 
Our Standard Shipping method is Express Shipping either through Purolator or Canpar, but Can be Canada Post or Other.

$199.99 Free Shipping within BC and Alberta (Reduced Shipping Costs to other provinces)

Free or Reduced Shipping applies to all merchandise sitewide which exceeds $199.99 (excludes taxes, fees & gift certificates)*.
Offer applies to all eligible orders shipped within the contiguous 13 provinces where multiple carriers are available. Orders eligible for Free or Reduced Shipping will ship via the most cost-effective shipping method; usually, this will be Ground shipping but may ship via air when applicable. Orders shipped using Free or Reduced Shipping may take up to 10 Business days for delivery.
Offer may be used in conjunction with a promotional certificate; the qualifying amount is the total amount of the products purchased before the promotional certificate is applied. Canceling items, combining orders, or changing your shipping address or shipping method may affect your order’s eligibility for Free or Reduced Shipping.

***Some restrictions apply: Additional shipping charges apply to oversized boxes, excessive shipping weights and hazardous materials such as fuel, Lipo Batteries, and any other Dangerous Goods.

Interruption of Service NRC Hobby Shop, Canada Post, Purolator, or Canpar shall not be liable for any interruption of delivery service due to a cause beyond its control, including but not limited to, the absence of a person or the refusal of such person of accepting the delivery of the shipment, demure due to the consignee, force majeure, action of the public authorities con real or apparent authority over the facilities, action or omissions of the public customs authorities or the like, riots, strikes, or other labor disputes, public disturbances, factors that disrupts the air and ground transportation systems such as weather conditions and natural disasters, and an act of God.

NOTE: There is a $15 Admin Cancelation Fee on any orders that are canceled to recover fees, and the Staff’s time for Customer Support.

Additional Fees and Regulations Government regulations require that we ship hazardous materials only within Canada. Shipments must be sent via Ground shipping. Additional fees may apply to hazardous materials.

International Shipping We only accept orders from Canada and DO NOT ship outside of the Country.

What Shipping Service Do You Use? Shipping will be done by: Canada Post, Canpar, or Purolator (or others as required. We will make the choice on the most cost effect and quickest method).

The shipping pricing for your order can be viewed if you start the online checkout through our website. Just place the items you wish to purchase into your shopping cart and begin the checkout process. You will not be required to make your purchase at that time, but you will be able to view the shipping pricing for your order.

Can you list a lower amount on my purchase order?

We cannot list any amount other than the actual amount paid by you on purchase orders, after any discounts; please note that store credit is not a discount, and is taxable. Please do not ask us to list a lower amount, or list your order as a ‘gift’, as it would be illegal for us to do.

Can You Provide Me With a Tracking Number?

Yes. Please have patience as the staff is limited at the Warehouse. We will send you the tracking number for your order within 1-5 Business Days of your Purchase depending if it was back-ordered or not.  If the Item(s) are in stock, you will receive a Tracking Number within 24-48 hours(excluding Weekend. If the order is placed after 12pm on Friday or over the weekend tracking info won't be available till Late Monday or Tuesday).

How Much Will it Cost to Ship to Me?

Order over $199.99 are shipped for free in BC and reduced cost across Canada.

Damaged Package Claims

If you have received your order, and your package was damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt of your package. Customers with damaged packages can file a claim directly with us. Please contact us to complete our Damaged Package Claim Form and email, mail or fax it to us for review. Please keep all packaging (box, packing paper, etc.) for verification purposes. We will most likely request the damaged product(s) be shipped back to us for verification.

Lost Package Claims

If you have not received your order, and feel your package may be lost, please contact us. All packages shipped by NRC Hobby Shop are insured for 100% of the package’s value. If your package is in fact lost, we will either replace the package, credit your account for the full amount, or offer you a refund for the full amount of the order.

Before we can file a claim for a lost package, we must allow the Postal Service the full time allotted for delivery. Here is the timetable for tracing lost packages:

Express Mail – 10 business days from the day the order was shipped Priority Mail – 14 business days from the day the order was shipped First Class Mail – 21 business days from the day the order was shipped

If your package was not delivered within the time frames listed above, please contact us to complete a Lost Package Claim Form.

Please allow us 2 business days to contact the shipping carrier regarding your missing package.

Please DO NOT open a PayPal claim against the order, as this will further delay the process.

Return Policy

There is a 30-day window for returns based on the date of purchase. Return Shipping is paid by the Customer in Full.

Returns:

  • All returns are subject to 20% re-stocking fee.
  • All special orders are subject to a 50% re-stocking fee.
  • Returned product must be unopened and its packaging appears to be new.
  • No returns on any opened electronics. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • All items must be returned with 15 days of original delivery.
  • All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original purchase order.
  • All returns must contact a list describing the reasons for the return
  • All returns must pay the PayPal Refund Fee in Full and are subject to a 5% Admin fee on the total value of the order.
  • All canceled orders must pay a $15 Admin Cancelation Fee on any orders that are canceled to recover fees, and the Staff’s time for Customer Support.

*Special considerations for returns can be made upon further discussion with NRC Hobbyshop.

Refund Policy

Refunds usually take 5-7 business days after the product has been sent back and reviewed by the Customer Support Staff.

  • All returns must pay the PayPal Refund Fee in Full and are subject to a 5% Admin fee on the total value of the order.

Warranty Issues

Please contact NRC Hobbyshop Customer Service with concerns about faulty products that will be covered by manufacturer warranty.

  • All warranty and product replacement issues are handled by the manufacturer of the product. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • NRC Hobbyshop will assist with forwarding warranty items to the manufacturer upon request, however, the consumer remains responsible for all shipping charges and/or repair costs related to the product.

Backorder, and/or Special Orders:

  • Backorders that are not purchased within 1 day of arrival, will be put back into regular stock.
  • Special orders that are not taken within a 2 week period will be subject to a 50% re-stocking fee.

*Special considerations for backorders and special order items may be made upon further discussion with NRC Hobbyshop.

NSF/Canceled Payments:

  • NSF or Canceled Payments will be charged $20 for each returned payment.
  • Chargebacks on credit cards will be charged $20 for each instance.

Overdue Payments:

  • All overdue payments will be charged 5% interest per month.
  • All products remain the property of NRC Hobbyshop a until paid in full.
